We are delighted to announce that on March 21st, to raise money for KINOE, Indian art specialist Dr Fiona Buckee will be giving an online lecture on Buddhist art from India, followed by a visit to view Buddhist sculpture at the British Museum on the 22nd. This lecture and museum visit is open to just eight participants, making it an informal and interactive learning experience. After the British Museum visit, attendees are welcome to join Dr Buckee for lunch at Rasa, a South Indian restaurant. The cost of the lecture and gallery visit will be £100, with all profits going to KINOE. For more information, email info@kinoecourses.co.uk

Dr Buckee, a Research Fellow at Cardiff University, has been lecturing about Indian art at institutions including SOAS University, the British Museum and the V&A for nearly twenty years. She has also been closely involved with KINOE ever since she went out to Nepal on their behalf in 2004 to teach English to the students of Lo Kunphen.

This is hopefully the first in an ongoing, occasional, small-group series of Asian art courses, gallery visits and events, designed to raise money for KINOE. These will be organised by Dr Buckee, but with guest appearances from other scholars, curators and gallerists. If you would like to hear about future KINOE courses and Asian art events, please email info@kinoecourses.co.uk to be put on the mailing list.
